Is it possible to give an user only access rights to a specified group?

It's not currently possible, unfortunately. I've added this to our feature request list and we'll be sure to let you know if/when we're able to implement it in a future version

I'd really like to have custom user access to a specific (set of) check(s). We monitor backups for a number of companies, grouped by contract type and backup type (not customer), and would love to be able to have a daily report (probably not individual failure/warning emails) for certain checks only go to a user with read-only access to log in and view status of their backups only. So...similar case here but a bit more specific.

@dszp: Would this be for giving the customer access to their check details, or for internal use?

It would be for customer access; internally all users can see everything which is fine. Customers might need 1-6 checks of our ~70 right now, usually 1-2.

We've just rolled out an update to CheckCentral that will allow you to do this now. On the Users tab, you can add the customer and choose the "Custom" option for the permissions. You can then go to Checks > Check Groups, click a group to edit it, and add that customer as a "Read-Only" user on the Check Group. They'll only see the checks in that group when they login.
Hope that helps! Jun 13, 2019
